The Cell Sorter was built according to the leading-edge principles of measurement technology and automation and combines modern design with high-level efficiency. With ultimate precision and speed, the Cell Sorter measures and sorts cells as thin as 160 µm. Each cell passes through two inspection stations in the measuring unit. One inspection tests the electrical parameters of the cells by means of sun simulation, while the front-side, color and reverse-side inspection tests for color homogeneity and purity. Based on the results of these tests, the cells are sorted into the respective categories in the succeeding sorting unit. The classification parameters of the sorting unit can be freely determined. The system achieves a throughput of up to 3,300 cells per hour and has 6 to 48 boxes, as required
