Tabber Stringer
The process of stringing solar cells together is carried out in the Tabber Stringer in two steps. The tabbing unit is equipped with a high-precision turning table which indexes the solar cells sunny side up to the individual processing positions. Using resistance heating the cells are joined to the bus bars on the front and rear sides. In the second step a turning unit transfers the tabbed cells to the stringer axis. Here they are held exactly in position sunny side down on vacuum tables and then connected to strings by laser beam soldering. Due to the minimization of cell handling and the use of contact-free soldering this method is absolutely cell protecting.
